I have been awarded a bursary from the Royal British Society of Sculptors!
Each year RBS Bursary’s are awarded to ten sculptors at the beginning of their practice, of any age and nationality and working in any style or media, who have been judged to be of outstanding potential. Only a very small percentage of those who are formally trained in sculpture progress to professional practice, and the aim of this scheme is to support emerging sculptors to make this difficult transition.
Over the two years of the award winners Bursary membership, RBS showcase their talent in an award exhibition and catalogue; provide individual mentoring by senior members; give free access to the Society’s membership services; and encourage them to network at events.
